During my recent journey through France, I had the pleasure of staying at the charming Domaine de la Limetiere, a delightful retreat that was an unexpected gem in the stunning Touraine region. From the moment we arrived, Camille, the owner, welcomed us with warmth, making us feel right at home in this beautifully restored house built in 1837. The accommodation was superb, with a spacious room that featured a private bathroom packed with free toiletries and even a coffee machine—perfect for my morning caffeine fix before heading out for some hiking in the picturesque surroundings. The shared lounge and terrace are ideal spots to unwind after a day of exploring, while the indoor pool provided a much-needed respite from the warm summer sun. One of the standout highlights was certainly the gourmet breakfast buffet, showcasing locally sourced products, which was a delight to enjoy in the dining room. It’s evident that Camille has a flair for creating memorable experiences, as every meal was filled with fresh flavors, setting a perfect tone for our day ahead. If you’re looking for a peaceful base to combine relaxation with outdoor activities—such as hiking and cycling—Domaine de la Limetiere ticks all the boxes. I genuinely left this lovely place wishing I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!
